2. That each child, through the Holy Spirit working in his heart, draws life from God's Word and develops a strengthening and growing trust in Jesus as his Savior.
3. That each child builds his life around that faith in his Lord so that all thoughts, words, and deeds exemplify the life of Christ.
4. That each child is moved by the Holy Spirit to feel a love for his fellowman, which stems from his knowledge of the great love of God.
5. That each child is shown his responsibilities as a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and is encouraged to participate in the life of this congregation as well as of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
6. That each child is led to realize the importance of a private devotional life as his personal communication with his Savior.
7. That each child is directed in his understanding, knowledge, and will to perform his tasks as a sincere Christian, finding God-pleasing solutions to his problems, and performing duties in such a way that they might further God's Kingdom on earth.
8. That each child is instructed in math, English, science, et cetera, to develop all the talents God has given for their use in this world as they "do all to the glory of God".
